Industrial Jobsite Safety Program
Safety first. Every project. Every employee. Every day.
No project can be considered successful unless every member of our team returns home safely at the end of the day.
Safety policy statement
Safety is not a requirement we meet. It is a value we work from.
We firmly believe the safety of our employees, the environment, the public, our clients, and our subcontractors cannot be compromised by our operations. For this reason we will always place safety ahead of our production goals.
Whether we are working in our fabrication shop or on an active industrial jobsite, we are committed to identifying hazards, reducing risk, and maintaining the highest safety standards in everything we do.
Stop work authority
If a task cannot be completed safely, it will not be performed until it can.
Every AAK employee is empowered to stop work if an unsafe condition exists. No schedule, no production goal, and no customer deadline overrides that.
How we maintain a safe workplace
Nine things our safety program runs on
Prevention through planning, communication, accountability, and continuous improvement.
01
Dedicated in-house safety professionals
Continuously evaluate and improve our safety program, training, and communication.
02
Job hazard analysis and pre-task planning
Hazards get identified before work begins, which is when they are cheapest to solve.
03
Ongoing training and continuing education
Safety meetings, certifications, and continuing education across the workforce.
04
Compliance with OSHA, Federal, State and Local regulations
All applicable safety regulations, on every jobsite we work.
05
Regular jobsite inspections and safety audits
The program only matters where the work happens, so it gets checked there.
06
Open communication
Between employees, supervisors, customers, and subcontractors.
07
Proper equipment, tools, PPE and resources
Providing everything required to perform the work safely.
08
Stop Work Authority for every employee
Anyone can stop the job if an unsafe condition exists.
09
Supervisors and management held accountable
For safety performance and for maintaining a safe work environment.

Building a culture of safety
Safety is not a department. It is how the company works.
Every employee, from apprentices and craftsmen to supervisors and company leadership, is expected to take ownership of maintaining a safe workplace.
We encourage every member of our team to speak up, ask questions, identify hazards, and look out for one another. The strongest safety programs are built on teamwork, personal responsibility, and continuous learning.
Continuous improvement
The jobsite changes. The program changes with it.
Industrial construction environments are constantly changing, and our safety program evolves right along with them. We regularly review procedures, evaluate jobsite performance, and incorporate lessons learned.
Our goal
Zero incidents. Zero compromises.
